Being admitted to the profession of Veterinary Medicine, I solemnly swear to use my scientific knowledge and skills for the benefit of society through the protection of animal health, the relief of animal suffering, the conservation of livestock resources, the promotion of public health, and the advancement of knowledge in Veterinary Science. I shall practice my profession conscientiously, with dignity, and in keeping with the principles of Veterinary Medical ethics. I accept as a lifelong obligation the continuous improvement of my professional knowledge And competence.

How Can We Help?
This Department is committed to the welfare and economic upliftment of the farming community in general. Animal Husbandry Department(AHVS) plays a major role in providing veterinary health care and improving the genetic production potentialities of livestock and poultry reared in the State. Apart from this, various beneficiary oriented schemes are also being implemented for the economic upliftment and welfare of the poor, downtrodden and weaker sections of the society. Various veterinary Institutions spread throughout the State provide the above services. With the dedicated and sustained efforts of the Department in implementation of various beneficiary oriented programmes and judicious utilization of animals and the natural resources

This department provides assistance in animal rescue, care for animals in distress, guidance for Veterinary schemes and Services, taking actions to prevent animal cruelty.”
