List of Registered Animal Welfare Organisation in Goa
The Corporation, Municipalities and Panchayats will work with Animal Welfare Organizations(NGOs) in the State to try to scientifically reduced and manage the number of strays by sterilizing them and vaccinating them, resulting in control of the stray animals populations as well as protecting them. The main goal is to improve the welfare of stray animals population through a comprehensive sterilization programme carried out as part of the animal birth control (ABC) scheme, under the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act 1960, and rules made there under.
Animal welfare organizations/NGO are concerned with the health, safety and wellness of individual animals. These organizations include animal rescue groups/team, which care for animals in distress. Taking actions to prevent animal cruelty.
